Nice Smile Sir

Posted on April 14, 2010

After I finished Novl Cuisine in March, we’ve been on the look out for our next 365 day project. We faced a big problem: they’ve become ridiculously popular after Smashing Magazine told their sheep to design something everyday. So, we didn’t just want to do another boring 365 project that nobody would be interested in. There’s already lots of them out there. Like always, we wanted to do something different.

We’d almost 100% settled on a photography project as soon as Novl Cuisine was finished, so we knew the general direction we wanted to take things in. We wanted to do a photo a day for 365 days, but we didn’t want it to be just us. That was boring. So we asked around, and managed to get around 10-12 people to sign up. But, we still weren’t satisfied. We wanted more. Our idea of a colloborative photography project was coming together, but we still wanted a few more people. After putting out a rallying call on Twitter, we managed to get 23 people to sign up to take a photo a day for 365 days. Nice Smile Sir was born.

We’re 14 days in already, and there’s loads of cracking photos up there already. It’s so interesting seeing a window into people’s lives every day (not in a creepy stalker way). We hope you think so too.

You can follow our progress on Twitter, and you can visit the Nice Smile Sir website to see all the photos.

We’ll be posting again soon about the design side of Nice Smile Sir.

Hi, I’ve I have sent a three questions by e-mail, and appreciate your getting right back to me.
I’d like to see what other people are asking as well.
Is this a good place to post, or is there a forum somewhere else?
    Thanks
